Soneium: The Onchain Entertainment Economy
Soneium is an Ethereum layer 2 operated by Soneium Foundation, purpose-built to bring entertainment onchain, connecting intellectual property with the capital that grows it.
As an Ethereum Layer 2, Soneium combines decades of entertainment excellence with blockchain infrastructure to establish the Onchain Entertainment Economy, where stories, fan experiences, and creative works are recorded, connected, and expanded across the internet, and where creative work can become a lasting asset whose value is shared by the people behind it.
By creating dedicated blockspace for entertainment and enabling every participant to share value within a unified network, Soneium is an entertainment-native chain, where entertainment is the foundation. Soneium records actions such as viewing, collecting, event participation, fandom activity, and creative contribution, so emotion and experience can persist as durable value. Creators' work can keep creating value long after release, and fans and investors can, if they choose, connect their commitment to lasting participation in the works they love.
Freedom for every creator
Creators are the architects of their own creative universes. They can raise funds from fans and investors at a new scale, and royalties are shared automatically each time the work is used, so they can focus on their craft for the long term. Authority remains with creators: every IP and application has autonomy to define its own rules, governance, and economic logic.

Each IP has a distinct world and value, yet until now few IPs have been able to form a market of their own. Soneium supports onchain assets such as digital items, access rights, participation rights, secondary market instruments, and fan funding, so any IP, regardless of size, can form its own economy.
